You can also visit the Texas Residential Construction Commission Builder 8039 I am a realtor but I personally have not had customers who complained about the quality of the contruction. The complaints were mainly about the loan officers but the financing and customer service is horrible when it comes to the loan officers they make my clients use...andy and rob. They handle so many files that it seems that they don't have time to talk to people. The interest rates were always competitive and sometimes better than you would get with other lenders. Also, the closing cost that is listed on the FINAL SETTLEMENT STATEMENT is always less than the average lender would charge a buyer. They also did many grants that other lenders did not even know about. The only objection I have is their attitudes and customer service. The best advice I could give you when purchasing a new or resale home is to get a structural inspection done on your home and do not close on any home until the repairs are complete regardless of what they tell you. Schedule your walk throughs well in advance so that you can go back to check and make sure the repairs are complete. Your realtor should inform you to make sure that all repairs are complete before you close on ANY home. It suprised me about some of the responses from people on rate your builder and it is extremely unfortunate. If you are putting earnest money down on a home make sure that you have a contract signed. There is no such thing as a lot hold payment unless you want someone to take your money. Don't put any money down without an agreement to purchase. You are asking for something to happen. Be very careful. For First Time Homebuyers....please find an experienced realtor to help you through the transaction because it helps to have someone that knows this business. Did you know that Builder salespeople work for the builder and not for you? They are not held liable to the same laws and ethics that realtors are held to. It cost you nothing to hire a real estate agent to work for you. It is free because the builder and seller pays the real estate companies not the buyers. So why not?

I have found a blog site on the web about Long Lake LTD, and have found that the creator's interest was for her own benefit. She is a real estate agent using that blog for money. Her sponsors are paying her to advertise on her blog. Homeowners have complained about her blog and she has not agreed to take it down because it is profitable. This is wrong because her interest is not genuine and informational but for her own profit.

Just to reiterate on what I previously posted......
get a structural inspection done on your new home or resale home. They are experts and it is worth your money to know that you are purchasing a quality product. No Money down without written agreement and NO Closing until all items are COMPLETE!
